The entire country mourned with the Lucas family when they lost their beloved daughter, Caitie, to juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) in March 2016. She was 3 years and 7 months old.

Now, through the Facebook page devoted to their late eldest child, they have shared the happy news that they are expecting another baby.

“While we are still on this earth, we will continue to live and move forward. March 5 was the day we hated most because it was the day the doctors in Singapore brought the news that Caitie was confirmed to have JMML,” recounted Feliz in a post on the Courageous Caitie official Facebook page. “We almost turned our back on God. When we found out we were expecting, our OB checked the fetus and casually told us that the expected delivery date is March 5. We just cried. What are the chances right? Only God can replace pain with much joy. Today we just wanted to share this miracle with everyone who has been praying for us. Jesus loves us more than most.”
