Checkout the DepEd's school calendar for S.Y. 2018-2019

The Department of Education has just released their school calendar for the upcoming school year. Check it out right here!

With the first day of classes coming up soon, the DepEd has released their school calendar which includes school days and holidays for the upcoming school year.

According to the DepEd, the upcoming school year consists of 208 school days. Students are also expected to be present for 200 of those 208 school days.

DepEd’s school calendar for S.Y. 2018-2019

June

June 2 – First general assembly and 1st parent-teacher conference

June 4 – Start of classes

June 12 – Independence Day (regular holiday)

June 15 – Eid’l Fitr (regular holiday)

Tentative – Early Language Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (ELLNA) and Special Philippine Educational Placement Test (SPEPT)

 

July

July 2-31 – Deworming of school children

 

August

August  9 – 10 – First Quarter examinations

August 18 – Distribution of report cards and 2nd parent-teacher conference

August 21 – Ninoy Aquino Day (special non-working holiday)

August 22 – Eid’l Adha (regular holiday)

August 27 –  National Heroes Day (regular holiday)

Tentative – National Career Assessment Examination for Grade 9

October 5 – World Teacher’s Day

October 18 – 19 – Second Quarter Examinations

October 22 – Start of Sembreak

October 22-26 – In-service training for teachers

October 27 – Distribution of report cards and 3rd parent-teacher conference

October 29 – Resumption of classes
