It was a fun pre-Holiday getaway for Heart Evangelista and her mom Cecile Ongpauco because Heart’s stepdaughther Chessie tagged along! The artsy fashionista did more than wow us with her #OOTDs, she truly impressed us with her devotion to her husband Chiz Escudero’s daughter with his ex-wife, Christine Flores.
The first stop on their all-girls vacay? The famous Ginza Shopping Street!

But, even while they were at the airport Heart gave her followers a peek into their trip. In one of her Instagram stories, she fondly referred to Chessie as her ‘anak’.

In a previous interview, Heart expressed her excitement for the completion of their house, where she will be living with her husband Senator Chiz Escudero and his kids, Chessie and Joaquin.
Though Heart’s relationship with her mom entered its rocky phase when she married her husband–her parents did not approve of him at first–the two have reconciled and are now closer than ever.
Just recently, Heart took her mom to an island resort in Balesin for a relaxing beach birthday getaway.

Heart, who looks like a natural when it comes to caring for kids, is looking forward to having her own babies.
She hopes that by February 2017, she can celebrate her birthday in her new home, which was designed to accommodate a growing family.
“I keep pushing it back. I have to make time. I’m turning 32 this February so I think I’ll get pregnant in January,” she told the media at the launch of her Love Marie handpainted bags a few months ago.

Her fashion sense seems to be rubbing off on Chessie. They shared their complementing #OOTDs, down to their sassy boots!

Heart wants to make sure everything’s all set before she starts having her own babies and that Chessie and Joaquin, who Heart considers her real kids, to be fully settled before they have to adjust to having another sibling.

“I just want to make sure that I’m moved in to our new house already. I have two kids from Chiz, so I want to make sure I can settle in with them before I bring in another child,” she emphasized in an interview with GMA News. “I want to make sure Chessie’s walk-in closet, something like that. I want them to feel that they have my full attention first.”
