Showbiz couple Iya Villania and Drew Arellano are having a baby boy! The baby’s gender was announced through a joyous Instagram post on Mother’s day.
In the video, Iya looks happily surprised as blue balloons emerge from a big carton box. The background is noisy with excited chatter.
Prior to the announcement, Iya also posted another photo that showed how excited she was to find out the baby’s gender.
According to Iya, the baby’s gender was a surprise even for her and Drew.
“Last Sunday we had a pretty radical day with close family and friends as we discovered the gender of #BabyA. At first I really wasn’t too keen on it but then later as I got more excited about discovering BabyA’s gender, decided to have a simple reveal at home. Sometimes the surprise is for the guests or sometimes for the parents, but in this case the surprise was for EVERYONE! Including @drewarellano and I. This is how it worked: I had an ultrasound but specified to the Doctor/sonologists to not reveal the gender to me! I then asked for them to make clear and indicate what the gender was on the actual ultrasound picture. The picture was then sealed and handed to my trusted friend@hannah_olives who then set the whole gender reveal up! I must admit! It was soooo much fun!!!”
In March, the couple announced Iya’s pregnancy in a funny Easter Sunday photo, which had Iya exposing her belly with an easter egg painted on it.

True to form, the couple’s funny side is shown in this dessert buffet which features chocolates with “no nuts” and “with nuts”.

Iya has been busy keeping herself fit while pregnant and getting ready for motherhood.
She plans to exercise up until the day she gives birth.
Four weeks ago, Iya went shopping with her mother for some maternity wear.
Iya wears Babyplus prenatal education system around her waist to jumpstart her baby’s learning as early as now.
A week ago, Iya also attended a breastfeeding seminar.
