She is known by most as Ate Glow, the hilarious impersonator of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. But these days, Rene Boy Faculna aka Ate Glow is now known as Mrs. Hampshire.
Little did Ate Glow know that what begun as an online romance would end in marriage. Yes, Ate Glow is now a missus!
Ate Glow and her British boyfriend tied the knot at the Chelsea Registry Office in London, United Kingdom on Saturday, July 2.
Photos of the wedding were posted on Facebook by a certain Yolanda Salome Libre and Ma Gay L.
In a 2014 interview on GMA’s Tunay na Buhay, Ate Glow revealed that their love story began through Facebook. At that time, she was visiting a friend in London when her would-be boyfriend saw her on Facebook.
“I met him in London last year when I visited my best friend. Nakita niya ako sa Facebook ng friend ko kaya nako, thank you kay Mark Zuckerberg at nang dahil sa Facebook, nagkaroon ako ng love life,” she said.

In the same interview, she said that her boyfriend, who is known only as Mr. Hampshire, knew about her gender identity.
“He had an idea because our common friend is also a transsexual, but he also looked at my pictures,” Ate Glow said in Taglish.
The comedian, in the same interview, also spoke about her breast implant surgery, as well as her family’s acceptance of her decision to become a transgender woman.
“My sexuality was never an issue. Kaya siguro ganito ‘rin ang nangyari sa’kin I have the sense of self-confidence kasi nga(…Maybe that’s why I have the self-confidence to be who I am today because…) my parents provided me all the love and care I needed in this world,” she said.
