Police recently arrested a Filipino-American and a student who were reportedly making and selling marijuana and marijuana candies to students in Laguna.
They were mixing it with chocolate
Police Sr. Supt. Cecilio Ison, Jr., provincial director of the Laguna Police shares, “Noong nag-conduct kami ng search warrant sa San Pedro, nakuha namin yung marijuana, hinahalo sa chocolate. Accordingly, binebenta nila sa students.”
Arrested were Bobby Albert Bobcock, as well as his accomplice.
The police found 9 bags of marijuana worth 250,000 pesos, as well as paraphernalia that was being used to make marijuana candies and gelatin.
A student was arrested selling marijuana candies
In a follow-up operation, the police arrested 23-year-old Jan Allen Ledesma who was caught selling chocolates and jellies that were laced with marijuana.
The police are currently conducting an investigation about who was supplying the suspects with the marijuana that they were peddling to students.
The recent arrests are alarming since it just shows how easy it is for students to purchase the illegal substances, and it’s easy to mistake the marijuana laced candies for regular candies since there are no tell-tale signs that the candies are laced.
The suspects are currently in the custody of Laguna Police.
