Are your kids bored now that summer vacation has started? With school over, moms are faced with the challenge of finding activities that would make good use of their kids’ creative energy and let them learn at the same time.
Recently, Mega Prime held the third installment of its highly anticipated Prime Mom Club Workshop on April 13 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong. The workshop showcased Mega Prime’s strong commitment to be a steady partner of moms, inside and outside of the kitchen.
What is the Prime Mom Workshop?
The third Prime Mom Club workshop aimed to let moms hear about other moms’ experiences on how they make summer extra fun and educational for their children. The participants were treated to a cooking demo, trial workshops, and fun talks by Prime Mom Club’s panel of mom experts.
The panel included pre-school teacher and personality Celine Cornejo as well as mommy bloggers and businesswomen Ginger Arboleda and Denise Rayala, and celebrity Chef Rosebud Benitez-Velasco. Mega Prime’s invited panelists come from different backgrounds and have different interests, but are all passionate about being mothers. The panelists shared tips on how to find fun and educational summer activities that families can enjoy during the break. They also talked about favorite recipes to whip up during summer for the family.
Afterwards, there was a short workshop for the moms, first about the importance of playing in the development of children facilitated by Teacher Celine, a preschool teacher and kiddie events host. Her advocacy is to teach learning through play to parents and kids, which she demonstrated through an interactive storytelling session and a music and movement activity.
After the insightful sessions, an interactive cooking workshop by the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA) gave moms and kids an opportunity to bond and learn how to prepare recipes such as sweet coolers to beat the summer heat. During this activity, they learned how to make Overnight Oats and Mocha Jelly using Mega Prime’s summer products namely the Whole Kernel Corn and Nata de Coco.
