REAL STORIES: "I did not lose myself in Motherhood, I found myself."

REAL STORIES: "I did not lose myself in Motherhood, I found myself."

Hi, my name is Emmilou. I am a wife to my loving and supportive husband, a mother to my two adorable girls plus one on the way. I am a YouTube Content Creator and an ex-banker.

I just want to share with you how beautiful motherhood is and how i discovered myself through it.

Motherhood journey

I became a first time mom when I was 22, unplanned but I am very grateful. At first, it was a scary challenges for me since only me and my partner who is my husband already right now, are the one taking care with our newborn that time.

We are the only one in the house and we don’t have any Yaya or helper. I don’t have my parents anymore and my husband’s parents visited us that time but did not really helped us step by step. I also have to give up my career as a bank teller before since I need to be a full time mom.

I have met a lot of challenges along the way. I forgot who I was in the beginning since I don’t have any job anymore, I gave up going out and meeting with my friends, I have no income, and my in laws looked down on me. This was a very tough time for me since I was still on my post partum. I also didn’t know which career to choose again.

One day, I prayed to God asking for guidance, direction and strength. And it is really true, God lives and he listens to all our prayers. He never fails.

Getting back on track

I started to work on myself again, and gained back my confidence and strength. I discovered a lot of new things on being a mother and a wife, I got pregnant with my second baby girl and my partner proposed to me and we got married.

Then, on my vacant time I also started doing my long time dream which is to vlog on YouTube, and just after a few months of creating videos, I am proud to say that my channel is now monetized and I am now an Official YouTube Content Creator.

Recently, I also applied in TheAsianParentPH VIP and luckily I was accepted right away. I started to work on their campaigns and brands. I thank and give this credit to my friend, Sabrina Mepania Ordesta for referring and introducing me to this wonderful community.
