REAL STORIES: "Motherhood is not the end of your life 'cause it's a start of your new life."

REAL STORIES: "Motherhood is not the end of your life 'cause it's a start of your new life."

Hi, im Charrie Reyes-Aromin, an Engineering graduate who is now in the Entrepreneurial world. A Catholic, Filipina, wife and a mom who now finds fulfilment in motherhood and family.

To sum it all, i learned to be selfless (si baby muna bago ikaw). I realized that being a mom is the best job ever. Walang kapantay, walang katulad at walang katumbas. But with this, we also need to grow and have self fulfillment. Motherhood is not the end of your life, rather a start of your new life.

First time parents

First is the challenge of being first-time parents, on how are we going to do everything that was taught to us at the hospital when we go home, and on how am i going to continue this alone when Tatay’s 10 days leave is finished.

My motherhood journey!

Wala kasi kaming yaya. We do things on our own.

Feed. Burp. Change Diaper. Playtime. Sleep Time. Bath Time. Repeat. This has been my routine that i was doing to months – everyday.

Cassie has been my alarm clock. I wake up whenever she’s awake and when she’s asleep, thats the time i do the bottle cleaning, eating, take a bath, and if ever i have more time, i feel so lucky!

Did you experience going to the toilet with a baby? I did! How about going out of the shower all wet because you heard your baby was crying? I did.

All these things has taught me to be selfless. Si baby muna, bago ikaw.

But with my everyday routine, being a first time mom, my breastfeeding-all these brought me to a point when I got exhausted, when i felt so drained. I was just crying at night because i felt so helpless. Its not that I’m complaining because this is a huge blessing, but I just felt so tired and I just want to cry it out.

And this is where I realized that tiredness from office work, and tiredness from being a housewife and a mom is incomparable. So hats off to all the full time house wives out there, especially those who have more than 2 children. Saludo po ako sa inyo!

Motherhood journey

But then again, when i see my baby smiling, everything becomes all worth it. my tiredness was suddenly gone in an instant. Its so amazing how someone can make you feel tired but can suddenly make you feel energized by just giving you smile.

I never realized how much love I can give until I became a mom. To me, being a MOM is the BEST JOB, ever. Walang kapantay, walang katulad, walang katumbas.

motherhood journey

Here’s my motherhood journey!

But time flies, I was doing this the same situation for 6 months, and then I realized, how can I grow as a mom? What new things can I learn that I can teach my baby? And this is where i miss working.

With this, I started searching for a yaya and when I finally found one I reported back to work.

I felt that as a mom, I need to grow and learn and have self-fulfillment to be able to become a better mom to them. Our lives should not stop when we become a mom, rather, its should start there.

All these situations has made me a stronger person and has made me widen my capabilities as mom. Kaya ko rin pala.

Mommies, how motherhood has changed you?

What were the things that you felt you couldn’t do, but now you are doing? And what were your learnings now that you are a mom yourself?

God bless everyone!
