Do you get really bad headaches?
A 31-year-old woman in Texas was suffering from really severe migraines for nine months until she finally decided to seek medical help.
At first, the doctors thought it was a tumor based on her initial CT scan.
But then, upon closer inspection through an MRI, they found that there were actually tapeworm eggs lodged in her brain.
During the surgery, a piece of her skull was removed and eight sacs of tapeworm eggs were found lodged in her brain.
It was a good thing, too, that she sought medical attention when she did since headaches due to worms in the brain are rare and dangerous. Who knows what could have happened if she had put it off?
Inside Edition featured her story with snippets of the actual surgery. Watch it here.
