Many were wondering why Paulo Avelino wasn’t at the birthday bash of his son Aki. Now, the actor has broken his silence.
“Hindi ako invited. Hindi ako invited, yun lang,” he told entertainment website PEP in an interview, where he could no longer elaborate on the reason why his ex, Aki’s mom, LJ Reyes didn’t invite him.
When asked about Paulo’s absence during the celebration, LJ simply she didn’t really expect anything from him, in a general sense.

In the past, Paulo has been vocal about being committed to being a part of his son’s life and that he will always have time for him no matter what.
“Sinisiguro ko na may oras ako kapag wala akong ginagawa, I try to spend most of the time [with my child],” the doting dad shared with ABS-CBN in an interview.
In another interview with ABS-CBN, he also stressed that he is always available for his son.
“Basta para sa anak ko, gagawa ako palagi ng oras. Gagawa at gagawa ako ng oras para sa anak ko,” he said, admitting that he rarely has time to see him, but he’s always there. Basta ako, ito lang ang masasabi ko, mahal na mahal ko ang anak ko. At lagi akong available para sa anak ko.”

Paulo recently started dating Filipino-Australian model Jodie Elizabeth Tarasek. He and LJ called it quits in 2012.
LJ is now happily dating actor Paolo Contis, who is really close to Aki.
