Stir fried prawns and rice wine
This pre-pregnancy recipe helps to increase fertility as well as boost the immune system. Prawns are also rich in zinc, which helps strengthen your immune system.
What you need:
400 grams prawns
250 grams rice wine*
4 cloves garlic
Vegetable oil
Spring onion
Ginger (grated)
*Rice wine can be bought in specialist stores that sell Chinese products. As an alternative, you can use dry white wine, apple juice or white grape juice, although the flavor may not be the same.
What you do:
1) Rinse, peel and devein the prawns.
2) Soak them in the rice wine for 10 minutes.
3) Set aside.
4) Heat the oil and stir-fry the spring onion and garlic until fragrant.
5) Add the prawns and ginger. Stir-fry until the prawns are cooked.
6) Add salt to taste.
7) Serve with rice.
