The woman’s 61-year-old mother, last name Tan, said the baby arrived three days earlier than they were expecting. The pregnant lady went to the toilet, thinking she was only having a stomach ache.

Moments after, Tan shared how her daughter’s husband started calling for an ambulance while the expecting mom was in the toilet.

“He suddenly heard her shout, ‘I can see the head!’ and he ran into the toilet to help her to the bed to rest,” Tan says, as per Sin Min Daily News.

Her son-in-law then contacted her as she lived on the next block to their home. He asked Tan to look after their two-year-old daughter while he handled getting his wife sent to the hospital immediately.

Although, it seems their baby could no longer wait and the husband had to help her daughter deliver the baby at home. Tan then heard the cries of a newborn less than five minutes later.

Afterward, the husband informed the ambulance that the baby has already been delivered. Three paramedics reportedly arrived around noon to check on his wife and their newborn baby.

They also helped to cut the umbilical cord before conveying them to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The husband followed but not after bringing their eldest daughter to his parent’s place.

Meanwhile, Tan stays at the couple’s home to clean up the blood in their bedroom and toilet. She tells Shin Min Daily News how she was beyond relieved when the baby was born.

“I’ve heard of pregnant women giving birth in taxis, but I never thought my own daughter would give birth at home, it’s really a pleasant surprise,” she adds.

It was also noted that both mother and the newborn baby are currently healthy and well.
