  • Yasmin 28

Each yellow, round, film-coated, hormone-containing tablet contains 3.0 mg drospirenone and 0.030 mg of ethinyl estradiol.

It also contains talc, povidone, magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, titanium dioxide, and yellow ferric oxide.

There are no hormones in the white pills. Hormone-free tablets contain non-medicinal ingredients such as hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, and titanium dioxide;

Dosage

  • Take 1 pill each day for the duration of the 21-day supply. After seven days of not taking any, start the subsequent pack of pills.
  • Take 1 tablet each day for the first 21 days of the 28-day supply, followed by 1 “reminder” tablet each day for the final 7 days before starting the next supply.

Reminders when taking the pill

  1. Take this medication orally as directed by your OBGYN, usually once daily, with or without a meal.
  2. You should take your medication every day at the same time, separated by a 24-hour period, at a time of day that is easy for you to remember. This medication after dinner or just before night may help with nausea and upset stomach.
  3. Find the first tablet and take it, then take the others in the correct order, as instructed on the label.
  4. Don’t ever skip a dose. You run a higher risk of getting pregnant if you miss your pills, start a new pack too late, or take your medicine at a time of day other than the recommended one.
  5. Diarrhea or vomiting may lessen the effectiveness of your birth control pills. Use a backup form of birth control if you have nausea or diarrhea (such as condoms)

How effective are Yasmin pills price and other birth control pills?

If used as directed, the tablet is 99% effective. The real efficiency of the pill is only about 91% due to human error and the ease with which pills can be forgotten or overlooked. As a result, nine out of every hundred women who utilize birth control pills each year conceive.

It will work more efficiently the more frequently you take your prescription and start your packs on schedule.

The effectiveness of the tablet in preventing pregnancy may be diminished by additional circumstances, such as prolonged vomiting or diarrhea that lasts more than 48 hours (2 days). Additionally, it can badly interact with any other medications you’re taking. Make sure you read the instruction manual or package insert for the drug.

Taking Yasmin birth control pills with other medications

Hormonal birth control users are not more likely to have issues or bad effects when taking other medications. The major concern is that other medications may reduce the effectiveness of hormone-based birth control, which would increase the likelihood of pregnancy.

Since the hormones in birth control techniques, including tablets, patches, injections, rings, and implants are mostly processed in a woman’s liver, it has been suggested that other drugs that stimulate the production of liver enzymes may lessen the efficiency of the hormones in birth control.

Due to this uncertainty, some medical practitioners advise women using hormone-based birth control to either change the dosage or use alternate birth control methods.
