Cassy and Mavy may be making waves as commercial and print ad models but the 15-year-old twins aren’t as visible on social media. For those who are wondering why they aren’t tweeting away or posting on Instagram like other young kids their age, their parents have an explanation.
Carmina and Zoren arrived at the decision to keep their twins from social media when Maverick told her that someone created a poser account with him.
“Actually, si Maverick, nagpakita sa akin, ‘Mom, look, somebody made an account and it’s not me,’” she recounted to PEP in a recent interview.
“They are not allowed, kung mayroon man, Facebook, pero naka-private for their school,” revealed Carmina. “Kasi dun sila nag-uusap mag-classmates, mga teachers, ganyan.”
As for their Instagram accounts, they set it to private. “Naka-private din kasi hindi naman sila artista,” clarified Carmina. “Gusto ko lang na aware ang mga tao na walang Twitter account ang mga anak ko. Kahit si Zoren, wala ding Twitter account.”

Carmina and Zoren do, however, share many of their fun bonding moments on their respective Instagram accounts.
The tight knit brood always make it a point to always have time to bond despite their busy schedules. Just recently, Carmina shared this photo of their family dinner date after she got back from Greece, where she was shooting a new teleserye for ABS-CBN with James Reid and Nadine Lustre.

Doting parents Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi have been in the industry since their teens and so they’re supportive of their kids’ modeling pursuits.
“Sa ngayon importante pa rin ang pag-aaral,” Zoren told PEP.

Both Cassy and Mavy have been gaining quite a following despite the fact that they haven’t really fully entered showbiz yet.
“Siguro sa ngayon, yung commercials muna, pa-guesting-guesting sa ASAP,” said Carmina when asked by PEP if she would give the twins permission to join showbiz. “Kasi nag-aaral pa sila, e. Maybe pag tapos na sila sa pag-aaral nila and they really wanna to pursue [acting], let’s see.”

As for Zoren, he fully supports his kids if they do decide to enter showbiz even while they’re still studying. “Basta they’re in it for passion, why not?” he said, emphasizing the need for proper preparation. “Pero sa ngayon, importante pa rin ang pag-aaral.”
Social media isn’t the only thing they’re shielding the twins from. They’re also encouraging them to take it slow when it comes to relationships.
15-year-old singer Darren Espanto from The Voice Kids Season 1 admitted recently the had a huge crush on Cassy. How would Carmina react if suitors started pursuing Cassy.
“Actually, sa ngayon, si Darren lang naman dati ang naging vocal. Pero nothing naman serious, mga bata pa sila. Wala pa naman talagang nanliligaw, wala pa. Fifteen, huwag muna, enjoy muna nila yung ganyan, friends muna sila,” said Carmina, adding that Darren’s a nice boy whose parents she’s already met.
“Magbabarkada sila, pag nagkikita sila, kuwentong bata pa rin,” added Zoren, who recently posted this adorable photo of Cassy toting a bouquet of flowers from an anonymous suitor.
