Losing a baby will devastate just about any mother. So imagine our distress when we stumbled upon the story of six-month-old Bently, who died on April 10, 2012, five days after receiving 13 vaccines all at once.
Alisa Neathery, Bently’s mother, alleges that her son died because of this combination of 13 vaccines he was injected with. She has claimed a case against the doctor who gave her son the shots, however, to date, the case has yet to be resolved.
As the tragic loss continues to alarm concerned parents around the globe, Bently’s story still circulates the Internet even years after his death.
While it didn’t receive coverage by major news sites and publications, we see Bently’s story as a lesson for parents on the importance of arming themselves with knowledge on responsible vaccine administration.
Bently’s Story
According to Alisa, she missed Bently’s schedule for the vaccination when he was two months old, under the presumption that his body would be better equipped to handle the doses at six months old.
So when she brought her baby to a clinicin Finort Worth, Texas, US, the doctor there explained to her how vaccines were an important part of a baby’s development and that she should not have missed the doses.
The clinic then prepared the vaccine shot which included two triple doses of DTap, Hepatitis B, a polio shot, three oral rotavirus doses, and a pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine. All of these were compressed into three shots and an oral dose.

When Bently was brought home that day, he looked unwell and uncomfortable. He was twitching and was extremely cranky.
He even had stopped making eye contact and had developed a red knot on one of his legs.
“He wouldn’t let me touch his leg. He screamed and cried constantly. I knew babies were fussy after vaccines, but this was excessive. His little vein in his head would bulge out when he cried. I didn’t know what to do. I had nothing telling me this was in any way unusual,” Alisa told Vactruth.com.
Bently died while sleeping on his mother’s chest, five days after receiving the vaccine shots.

Bently’s is a tragic story about loss, and we only can send his mom, Alisa, our sincerest condolences. We hope she has found peace and healing after the grief.
