Cauliflower and Broccoli with Milk Recipe

This delicious cauliflower and broccoli with milk dish is a good source of Vitamin A, C, D, E and K, as well as the B vitamins. The milk component also provides pregnant mothers with calcium, phosphorus, iodine, magnesium and zinc.

*This recipe is good for 4 servings

What you need:

1 cup cauliflower

1 cup broccoli

1 cup frozen mixed vegetables

1½ tbsp flour

½ cup fresh milk

Seasoning:

½ tsp red flakes

½ tsp salt

Dash of pepper

What you do:

1. Wash the cauliflower & broccoli thoroughly, then cut them into florets.

2. Put the cauliflower, broccoli & frozen mixed vegetables in a microwave-safe dish with a little hot water, cover the dish with microwave wrap, and “steam” the vegetables in the microwave for 4 to 5 minutes.

3. Take the vegetables out of the microwave and arrange them on a different serving plate. Set it aside for later.

4. 'Fry’ the flour with 1½ tbsp. oil in a wok over low heat until slightly brown.

5. Gradually add in the fresh milk and blend well.

6. Stir in the seasoning ingredients.

7. Mix well, and then pour the mixture over the vegetables.

8. Serve.
