For a lot of married couples, having a baby is one of the most amazing things ever. However, it isn’t always the easiest thing to do, as there are a lot of things to consider before getting pregnant.
Here are some great tips to help you get pregnant faster!
If you’re using birth control, get off it as early as possible
It might seem pretty obvious, but if you’re on the pill and you want to get pregnant, then get off the pill as soon as possible. That’s because some pills can reduce your fertility for some time, even if you’ve stopped using them.
Getting off birth control early can help increase your fertility and help ensure that you can get pregnant faster!
Know when you’re ovulating
Typically, ovulation happens 14 days before the end of your cycle, and it’s very important to keep track of when you’re ovulating, as the egg only survives for 12-24 hours after ovulation, while sperm lasts 48-72 hours after having sex.
This means that there’s a narrow window wherein the sperm would be able to fertilize the egg in order to create a baby. It’s important to track of when you’re ovulating as it can greatly increase your chances of getting pregnant.
Use an ovulation prediction kit
An easier way of checking if you’re ovulating or not would be to use an ovulation prediction kit. These are sold in most drugstores, and are just like pregnancy tests, but they test for your ovulation. Using a kit like this is a good way to ensure that you can get pregnant while you’re ovulating.
Have sex 6 days before ovulation
What’s a good way to make sure you don’t miss your ovulation window? Then have more sex! Having sex at least 6 days before your predicted ovulation can help boost your chances of getting pregnant.
Check which products you use
If you use products such as lube during intercourse, make sure to check if the lube you’re using has spermicide or not. Some lubricants have spermicides which actively kill sperm, and can thus reduce your chances of getting pregnant, even if you’re ovulating.
Eat well, and cut the bad habits
Smoking, drinking, and being generally unhealthy can greatly reduce the chances of you getting pregnant. So if you and your husband smoke, drink, or don’t eat well, then maybe it’s time to do a lifestyle check and fix your bad habits.
After all, once you have a baby, you’ll have to make a big lifestyle change anyway, so why not start now?
Don’t sweat it!
Relax, not getting pregnant immediately doesn’t always mean that you’re infertile or you might have medical problems. Not everyone can get pregnant whenever they want, and for some couples, it can take some time.
So relax, have fun, and enjoy yourselves!
