Korina Sanchez and Mar Roxas made a surprise announcement yesterday that they are now parents to twins, a boy and a girl. The couple abruptly flew to the U.S. in the midst of the upcoming senatorial campaign season. Unknown to everyone, they were already anticipating the birth of their children (via a surrogate).

Korina Sanchez: New mom
The 54-year-old veteran broadcast journalist, Korina Sanchez, shared the happy news in her Instagram account. She wrote: “I think if you believe hard enough, the miracle you most want can come true. Announcing the arrival of our little boy and little girl.”
She added, “Did you ever think it could still happen for me? I never stopped believing.”

Korina also asked her followers for name suggestions for their twins. She jested, “Jack and Jill? Sonny and Cher? MariKor and KoriMar? Daniel and Kathryn?”
Following their announcement, Korina also posted several photos of her life as a new mother to newborn twins. She also showed how her husband Mar is coping with the demands of having two babies.

Korina also revealed that she panicked when she found out that they were having twins, so she hired three caregivers—Marie Neri, Christine Senador and Jessica Siozan—to help them take care of the babies!

Earlier today, Korina thanked everyone for the outpouring of well-wishes for her little family and for the name suggestions for the twins. She also gave a sneak peek of her twins in another post.

Due to the insistent public demand, she has granted TV Patrol exclusive photos of their twins. She also promised to reveal the names of the babies.
She made good on that promise. She revealed that they have decided to name their twins, Pepe and Pilar.

Korina also shared that Pepe, who is older by 30 minutes, sleeps a lot. He has fair skin and “matangos na ilong.”

Pilar, on the other had, is quite the charmer, Korina adds. Her “prinsesa” likes smiling for the camera.
