Kylie Padilla credits husband Aljur for helping her get more sleep

The actress proudly shares her soon-to-be husband makes sure to take over caring for their little one as soon as he gets home from work to help the first-time mom get some much needed rest

Sleep deprivation is one of the most common challenges for first-time parents—and celebrities are no exception. But nearly three months since giving birth, Kylie Padilla seems to have found a way around the new mom exhaustion she has been experiencing, with the help of fiance Aljur Abrenica.

In an interview in the November 2017 issue of entertainment magazine, YES! the 24-year-old actress and first-time mom happily shared that Aljur makes sure he relieves her of parenting duties so she can get some much needed sleep.

“Pag-uwi ni Aljur, pakakainin ko lang si Alas, and then hahayaan ko na silang mag-bonding. Matutulog na ako,” shares Kylie, adding that she spends the whole day caring for their baby Alas Joaquin while Aljur, who currently stars in a TV drama on ABS-CBN, is at work.

(When Aljur gets home, I just feed Alas, and then I let them bond. Then, I sleep.)

Kylie usually wakes up around dawn to bring their firstborn out for some sunlight—a good dose of vitamin D. She happily shares that he isn’t fussy at all, unless he is hungry or has a wet diaper.

Having a baby has improved their partnership; both Kylie and Aljur agree that they have matured a great deal since becoming parents. Thought they are a young couple, they believe their first baby’s arrival was just at the right time.

“Since I found purpose and one family na kami, I have more reason to work now. I have more focus now. I know what I’m working for now,” the new mom shared. “Kinumpleto niya ako. Kinumpleto niya ‘yong gusto kong family.”
