Aside from being rich in complex carbohydrates, sweet potatoes are also rich in betacarotene which is a good source of Vitamin A (for good vision and a healthy immune system), dietary fiber (for proper digestion) and vitamins B5 and B6 (for blood cell and protein metabolism as well as for enhancing the immune response).
Here’s how to make sweet mashed potatoes so your little one will grow healthy and happy!

What you need:
- 1 sweet potato
- Baby’s usual milk (breastmilk or formula milk)
What you do:
1. Peel and boil the sweet potato until it tender.
2. Drain it using a strainer until the sweet potato is only a little moist.
3. Mash it well!
4. Add baby’s usual milk until you get a suitable consistency.
Simple, right?
