The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio have brought out the competitive spirit of countless world class athletes proudly embodying the honor and respect of each of their respective countries.

While it's easy to sit back and objectively watch these contestants compete from the comfort of our own homes, one thing we may forget is that these men and women are people just like you and I.

They may have been training for years to reach the level of success they've achieved, but at the end of the day, they have their own families and loved ones rooting for them. And, many of these athletes have kids with whom they proudly celebrate their victories!

The following collection of photos are a humble reminder that while these contestants are world class athletes, they're still moms and dads like the rest of us! They may be national ambassadors for competitive spirit, but at home they're just "Mommy" or "Daddy"!
