Carmelino Ibañez, a 26-year-old construction worker, admitted to raping 2 of the victims of the Bulacan massacre. He added that he and 2 other suspects were high on drugs and under the influence of alcohol when they did the deed.
“Trip-trip lang”
In an interview with ABS-CBN, the suspect shared their motive for the massacre, “Wala lang po, parang trip-trip lang…
As to why he raped Auring Carlos and her daughter, he said “Parang naisipan lang.”
He then goes on to say that they didn’t plan on killing the children.
He adds that he’s unable to remember most of what happened because they were drunk and high on drugs when the murder happened.
Authorities are currently on the hunt for 2 of the other suspects, with aliases “Tony”, and “Inggo”.
“Wala kang awa”
3 children, aged 1, 7, and 11, along with Estrella Carlos and her mother Auring Carlos, were killed during the incident. Investigators also found that Estrella and Auring were raped before they were brutally murdered inside their own home.
Only the children’s father, Dexter Carlos, survived because he was outside at work during the incident.
He shares that the probable suspects might be a group of men who go to their home to fetch water from the well.
Wala kang awa. Kahit man lang ‘yung baby ‘yung pinatawad mo.”
