The moment when my husband showed his love for me – we shared a Bingsu
It was December of 2018 when we first met, I remembered I was wearing a red skirt with a white top and some leather boots. Him? He wore a shirt with shorts and slippers. He just got out of work. We decided to grab Bingsu at some cafe in Taft. I can still remember that we ordered Chocolate-flavored Bingsu, my favorite. Then we went to get shawarma, then a drink at Starbucks.
Maybe that was one way for him to show that he loves you, he always fills your stomach.

In January of 2019, he went to my debut and introduced himself as my boyfriend. I had two debut parties that time, and he was my escort in both parties. He talked to my family and friends and introduced himself. Everyone loved him.
Maybe that is another way for him to show you that he loves you, he persuades everyone around you.
During the season of love in February of 2019, he introduced me to his family. It was the best moment that I ever had in my life. I felt loved, included, and important. They showed me that I am worth loving. Maybe that is his way to show his love, he includes me in the important things in his life.
I remembered wearing a toga with a cap in May of 2019, taking pictures with my friends and family. There he is giving me a proud smile.
Maybe that was another way to show that he loves you, he shows you he is proud of you.
December of 2019, almost our anniversary when I broke down in tears and told him I was sick and tired of him. He cried, but never did he let go of me. I told him I was fed up of his constant clinginess and I am just annoyed by his presence.
Maybe that was his way to tell me that he loves me, he clings to me so much and makes me feel important in his life.
The moment when I discovered I was pregnant
It was in February of 2020 when I learned about my pregnancy. Everything was a big blur to me, I just got in college and I am just starting my life. But he was there, he assured me everything will be okay. He stood up to my parents and told them that he would support me no matter what.
He rubbed my back whenever I had heartburn, cooked my daily cravings, went with me to my ob gyn and cardio appointments, made me milk every night, massaged my feet and back.
Every morning he walked with me when I was near my due and never failed me all throughout my pregnancy. He provided for me and took care of me.
Maybe that was his way of showing his love, being responsible and caring to the people who are important to him.

When I gave birth

On the 28th of August, I gave birth to a bouncy baby girl named Guiliana Karys. The moment I held her I saw in her eyes that she was exactly like her dad. Well, she really does look like her dad. I gave birth to her via cesarean section. From the moment I was admitted until the end of my operation he was the only one there to assist me.
I gave birth in the middle of the pandemic, and I was allowed to bring only one companion with me. He was there, he took care of everything.
He took care of Karys right after I gave birth to her because of my condition. From changing the diapers to assisting me in feeding her. He was also very patient with me especially on my bathroom needs. It was hard for me to move around the hospital room, so he assisted me on standing up and going to the bathroom.
In her first month he was the one who mostly did the work because my suture was still fresh. He gave her baths every morning, changed her diapers, made her burp and danced her to sleep.
In my case, he was very patient with me. He assists me in everything, even going up to the stairs. For a week he gave me baths. For almost a month he cleaned my suture and changed its bandage. He did the laundry, cooked food, took care of me and a baby, and also worked.

Maybe that is how he shows that he loves us, he exhausts himself for us.
When I was in my 5th month in my postpartum phase, I got myself checked by a psychiatrist. I had recurring depression since I was 15, and I never had an answer to it. During that time it felt like it was getting worse than the usual, so I placed an appointment to be checked.
It was postpartum depression (PPD). Not just that, I was also diagnosed with Persistent Depressive Disorder (Dysthymia/PDD) because it was going on for over 5 years. I need to take antipsychotic and antidepressant drugs just to get better. He was there, he supported me and took care of me and my baby despite my mental health diagnosis.
Maybe that is how he shows that he loves me, he accepts me for who I am.
Enough with the maybe’s. He does love me. It took me a while to convince myself that he really does love me. Through my beauty and flaws, thick and thin, he was there. He never left me.
He never gave me a maybe.
