He doesn’t allow you to be a slacker. He pushes you to be the best version of yourself while also being there to back you up should you feel like giving up.

He still surprises you

Through small gestures and little gifts, he still makes the effort. They don’t have to be grand or expensive; a husband who’s still madly in love with you will still do the unexpected just to make you smile.
