Best Ovulation Test Kits: Top 3 recommended in the Philippines! Check these out if you're trying to get pregnant!

Increase your chances of conceiving with these tools you can use to determine ovulation.

Are you trying to get pregnant? Here's something that can help you determine the best time to conceive. Check out some ovulation test kits available in the Philippines.

What can you read in this article?

  • Ovulation test kits - what are they for?
  • What you should look for in buying one
  • Ovulation test kits here in the Philippines

There's no beating around the bush; if you want to get pregnant, you need to know when is the best time for you to have sex with your partner. Ideally, you want to do it on days that you are ovulating to increase the chances of getting pregnant.

While there are other ways to predict when a woman is ovulating like keeping an ovulation calendar or checking her body temperature, there are also more scientific methods to go about it like using an ovulation test kit.

What are ovulation test kits for?

What are ovulation tests and why would you need them? If you are planning to have children and are not sure whether or not you are ovulating, then these tests will help you know when is the best time.

Ovulation takes place in the middle of your menstrual cycle, which usually starts on the first day of your period. Once your ovaries release an egg, it stays there for about 12 to 24 hours. Meanwhile, the sperm can live in your body for up to 5 days. So even if you don’t have sex during that 24-hour ovulation window, you may still get pregnant if you’ve had sex a few days before.

Since there is such a small window to conceive during the month, using ovulation test kits can help predict when a woman is ovulating.

How are ovulation test kits used?

[caption id="attachment_413023" align="aligncenter" width="670"]ovulation test kits Philippines Image from Pexels[/caption]

Most of the ovulation test kits available here in the Philippines are used pretty much like pregnancy kits. You pee into a strip, and your urine is tested for the presence of  luteinizing hormone (LH). This hormone signals ovulation, which is the release of an egg from your ovaries into the fallopian tube.

What to look for in your ovulation test kit

For these tests, it is mostly about accuracy. Most tests that are in the market though are almost 99 percent accurate. So the results that you get from these tests will be able to give you enough of an indication if you are fertile or not.

However, you can always double-check using your fertility calendar or through a checkup with your OB-gynecologist.

Of course, you would also want to use an ovulation test kit that's pretty easy to use, and delivers quick results. If you also plan to monitor your ovulation long-term, you might want to get something that's affordable so you can purchase more.
