Single dads are exploiting photos of their kids on their Tinder profiles

Single dads are exploiting photos of their kids on their Tinder profiles

71% of single dads who use Tinder currently have pictures of their kids posted on their profiles; two-thirds of fathers posted solo pictures of their kids while one-third posed with their children in the photos.

You might want to swipe left on this one, moms. Apparently, single fathers are using photos of their kids on various dating apps to lure in women.

This might seem weird, but there’s a sound explanation for this behavior.

What could they possibly achieve from it, you ask? A whole lot, apparently.

Seeing photos of a single father’s children, particularly and especially on dating apps like Tinder, gives them an illusion of maturity, responsibility, and commitment, qualities that women in general find ideal in a potential partner.

Sometimes single fathers are not even aware that they’ve done it, mostly because dating apps like Tinder require its user to link their Facebook accounts to the app, transferring their profile information as well as their photos.

But more often than not they upload photos of their children on purpose in an attempt to make themselves more appealing.

“71% of single dads who use Tinder currently have pictures of their kids posted on their profiles,” reports revealed. “Two-thirds of fathers posted solo pictures of their kids while one-third posed with their children in the photos.”

On the other hand, only 24% of single mothers admitted to having photos of their children on their Tinder profiles.

And this may have something to do with the preconceived notion that single fathers are more hardworking than their female counterparts.

Unfortunately, not only single fathers benefit from this arrangement.

Many people take advantage of anonymity these apps provide to prey on unsuspecting single parents and their children.

Parents’ priorities should be their children, first and foremost, and although it’s great that many single parents are getting back in the dating game, using photos of children to attract partners is just downright terrible parenting.
