10-Year-old girl narrowly avoids being kidnapped

A 10-year-old girl from Mandaluyong managed to avoid being kidnapped by 3 men after she was forced by the men to enter their van.

According to reports, a 10-year-old girl from Mandaluyong managed to avoid being kidnapped. She was allegedly forced by three men to enter a van, and her nose and mouth were covered by a handkerchief that made her dizzy.

How did she manage to avoid being kidnapped?

The 10-year-old was walking home from her school in Barangay Addition Hills when three men in a white van grabbed her. She was abducted at around 12:55 pm.

They forced her into a van, and covered her nose and mouth with a handkerchief that had a foul-smelling substance. The substance also made her dizzy, the girl said.

The girl took a chance when she saw that one of the men was busy talking on his phone, and the rest were distracted with something else. She then grabbed a ballpen from one of the men’s pockets, and stabbed him with it. During the commotion, she “rushed out of the door and ran straight to their house,” according to Mandaluyong police chief Senior Superintendent Moises Villaceran.

He added that the girl said she can identify the suspects if she saw them again.

They found CCTV footage of the van

The victim reported the incident to the police along with her father the day after it happened.

Mandaluyong police immediately conducted an investigation, and discovered CCTV footage of the van. However, they were unable to find any footage of the girl being kidnapped, nor her escape.

They found that the van was registered to the Land Tranportation Office (LTO) in Caloocan City. However, they refused to reveal the plate number as they are still conducting an investigation into the matter.
