Mother and her 2 kids severely injured after being run over by speeding bus

The mother and her 2 kids can clearly be seen in the footage crossing the pedestrian lane, when suddenly, a speeding bus hits the entire family.

A shocking scene was caught on camera as a speeding bus suddenly hits a family of three while they were crossing the the pedestrian lane in front of a school in Lubao, Pampanga.

Thankfully, no one was killed

The mother, Alma Lalic, was crossing the street with 2 of her kids, Ann Lorraine, 6, and Lorenz Albert, 3. The three were going to the nearby elementary school when the speeding vehicle hit them, and even dragged them for a few meters before stopping.

Passersby who’ve seen the accident immediately went to help out the family, and thankfully, no one was killed.

However, they’re currently recovering in the hospital due to the severe injuries that they received because of the accident.

The bus was going too fast

According to the driver, Manuel Yambot, he was trying to avoid the vehicles who suddenly stopped in front of him, and that’s why he accidentally hit the family.

However, looking at the CCTV footage clearly shows that the bus was going too fast, which was corroborated by other witnesses during the incident.

Charges of reckless imprudence resulting to multiple physical injuries will be filed against the erring driver.

  • Teach your kids to identify and understand road signals so that they would be familiar with it.
  • Children should always stop, look, and listen before crossing the road.
  • Looking both ways before crossing the road is just as important.
  • Make sure that your kids follow the rules of the road, and only cross on pedestrian lanes, or use the overpass.
  • If your kids ride bikes, they should always wear a helmet, and use bright lights if they’re biking at night. However, it’s still best to avoid biking at night to prevent accidents.
  • When riding inside a vehicle, the first thing that they should to would be to wear the seatbelts to keep them safe.
  • Teach your children to never run when crossing the street.
  • If they’re using mobile phones, it’s best to keep them away if they’re crossing the road, or walking on the street.
